NLP Neurology And Learning

Learning really effectively is all about how we feel when we learn. It is about novel and new information, repetition and creating connections while honestly having a great deal of fun doing the learning. Learning is fed by the desire to learn as well as greater pay off’s in the future.

This short clip from Newcastle Master Hypnotherapist Nigel Hetherington on the Communicating Excellence North East NLP Master practitioner training explores and physicalises certain neurological principles from models of learning. These principles apply to all forms of Clinical Hypnosis and Coaching.

Bill O'Hanlon – Newcastle September 11-12

We (IntegrityNLP) are very proud to be hosting a workshop with Bill O’Hanlon in Newcastle on September 11th and 12th. Bill O’Hanlon was one of the great hypnotherapist Milton Erikson’s students and is very well known therapist, trainer and author. He says of this workshop: The Geography Of Possibilities

Possibility Therapy uses the power of acknowledgement to meet people where they are stuck and the power of possibility to invite them into change. Not just a positive approach, this approach recognizes problems, the influence of the past, and cultural, political and gender influences while creating a respectful, hopeful environment for change. It also adds a spiritual dimension to therapy.

Through clear handouts and lectures, videotapes and practice exercises, participants will have the opportunity to not only learn this approach to therapy but also to apply it to their own lives and selves.

You can hear Bill speak about Eriksonian and Solution Oriented Hypnotherapy on a podcast interview he did on ShrinkRapRadio with Dr David Van Nuys.

You can also hear him on the Theatre of the Mind podcast about ‘getting on track with your life’.

The online registration for this event starts on Wednesday 21st April at 8:00am.

The first 10 registrants can book for the Very Early Bird Fee of just £100. The fee goes up to £175 thereafter until July 19th, after that it’s £225.

How To Use Hypnotic Language

One of the main components of using hypnotic language is using ‘connecting words’ to create and weave a hypnotic sentence.

This video is a simple demonstration of how to chain suggestions and hypnotic commands together into a coherent structure using connectives. Recorded at Clinical Hypnosis Training Newcastle upon Tyne.

Newcastle Hypnotherapy Practice Group – Resolving Guilt

Guilt can be one of the most disabling and crippling emotions a human being can feel.

The feeling of Guilt is related to a persons actions or inactions and is primarily about values and how they are transgressed. Guilt is about your own values and can be public or private knowledge.

It is interesting that most people who are experiencing guilt are acknowledging certain values yet the question here is who’s values have been transgressed? Are they honestly your own values or are they ones you have accumulated from society, your parents or what you think you should do?

When a person experiences Guilt, there is a very strong likely hood that an even higher level value, often unconscious, has been honoured and the feeling of Guilt comes from more conscious values. Guilt can honestly serve as a sign post, a marker of how to respond differently in the future when there are similar circumstances as to the experience that created the feeling of Guilt.

There is a story from the current Dalia Lama about when he once told an old monk that was desiring to embark on some higher level esoteric practice and he remarked casually that it would be difficult and perhaps would be better undertaken by someone younger perhaps in the mid teens. What transpired was that old monk committed suicide to start again in another life. Can you imagine the ‘Guilt’ that came from this casual comment ‘resulting’ in a suicide? How do you go about transforming such a feeling and moving onwards with a real life?

This Trance Cafe is a methodology for transforming Guilt into a learning and way of being in the future.
