Changing Your State with NLP : Cloud Process

States are created inside people. The way we respond to external or internal ( memories ) stimulus and events often determines the way we feel. There is literally no fine line between elicitation and installation. This is an installation and emergent – directed metaphor process.

Research indicates that 80% of what we see is created in the brain … it is what we see, either real time or memories that drive feelings. This is great news! Because by running your own brain you can massively influence how you feel.

NLP application is about running your own brain / neurology to create the stimulus to influence how you feel. How you feel, like motivation and desire to change your situation to something more beneficial is our human birth right.

This is a demonstration from the Communicating Excellence NLP Practitioner Training of how you can by using your internal memories with metaphoric and emergent installation techniques to CHANGE HOW YOU FEEL using only your own brain.

The excellent Cloud Process is a kind of directed and emergent metaphor. The Could Technique is designed by Kevin Creedon.

NLP State Elicitation – Part Four

One of the commonalities between yoga and NLP is the way people can change how they feel or change their state.

There are essentially two ways in yoga to change how you feel.  One way is physically doing exercises, especially related to breathing and breath control. The other is mentally doing exercises commonly know as meditation or as spiritual exercises.

The particularly interesting parallel being like so many highly successful ways to personal development they follow a middle path, developing and practising both methods.

After the original creators of NLP parted company from some shared foundations, Grinder seems to have favoured a physical accent on his work which he named New Code NLP.  Bandler further developed the internal arts in the way of his sub modalities and later Neuro Hypnotic Repatterning.

By completing an NLP Practitioner training, participants will experience and learn a variety of ways in which you can change your state, or to put it another way learn how to change the way you feel.

This YouTube video is from an NLP Practitioner training in Newcastle upon Tyne.  Nigel Hetherington demonstrates how both internal ( sub modality ) and external ( physicalised ) methods are explored in the same exercise to generate personally resourceful states.

NLP State Elicitation – Part Two

Following on from part one … some things to look out for are the client centred, associated modelling back, of the symbolic metaphor elicited from our client to our client.

Notice this is very different of the amazing and ‘dissociated’ Frank Farrelly type provocative therapy, usually symbolically modelled, in front of your client which is perceived as outside, or dissociated from of your client.

This process is about intensifying states and using elements of what could be called content imposition But the important aspect here is this kind of content imposition is very deliberate and based on the Clean TherapyTM model.

NLP State Elicitation – Part One

On the Newcastle NLP Training course, Nigel Hetherington uses parts of his Clean Therapy tm model to elicit and install states through emergent metaphor and physical intervention.

This North East NLP Practitioner training also includes Clean Language ( the work of the late David Grove ) and aspects of Symbolic Modelling ( the work of Penny Tompkins and James Lawley )

Clean Therapy is a provocative, opportunistic and humanistic approach to change. This is a process oriented methodology to creating and engendering change with clients and yourself.  The basic variables involved are time, space and ‘logical’ categories.  The level of work involved can be defined as pseudo ‘real’ or ‘metaphorical’.  All problems are shuffled to a higher or metaphorical level where the usual conscious mind processes are quite literally disengaged.

The March event for the Trance Cafe is Clean Therapy ™.  Newcastle upon Tyne Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis practice group.

This is the current evolution and culmination of my own experience, practice and successful application of content free therapeutic process of the previous six years.

I was initially introduced to ‘Clean Language‘ the work of the late David Grove modelled as Symbolic Modelling from Penny Thomkins and James Lawley.

My association and work with John Grinder opened up, from this very useful beginning what Clean Elicitation ™ ( cleanlanguage is a functional sub-set of this ) really is and can be.

The work of Lakoff and Johnson in terms of Metaphor, and my background in software engineering, physics and math allowed me to apply what is necessarily and possibly possible to this field in terms of real and likely connection.

The result is Clean Therapy. This is a provocative, opportunistic and humanistic approach to change. This is a process oriented methodology to creating and engendering change with clients and yourself – At a very, very  specific level.

The basic variables involved are time, space and ‘logical’ categories.  The level of work involved can be defined as pseudo ‘real’ or ‘metaphorical’.  All problems are shuffled to a higher or metaphorical level where the usual conscious mind processes are quite literally disengaged.

This is another way of re-quoting Einstein’s famoused words that the thinking involved in problem formulation ‘will not necessarily’ be the thinking ( actions  ) involved in problem resolution.

This workshop in March 09 will demonstrate and deliver Solution Focused Clean Therapy interventions.

There are 12 places on this event and the price is £15.00. This is a three hour training from 6-9 pm on March 4th.
