Genius’ are not born – these people, like you are nurtured, grown and shaped by or experiences in life. There are some things, call em behaviours, attitudes or skills that are way outside our conscious influence or even understanding as we as sub-contractors take on snippets of both who we are and what we might want to be.
We develop a particular view of the world as we see it. A useful question may be is our world view deluding us?
It is not a far step to consider that how we think and act are substantially influenced by what we are in connection with. Something like Monkey See – Monkey Do. But learning to be both open to and averse to everything you see and hear can open a world of good for you.
So taking an NLP perspective one of the ideas is exploring our own beliefs and biases and using Clean Language in the negative is one way to explore.
For instance one of the standard CL question is ‘what happened before X’? If we begin asking ‘what didn’t happen before X?’ Something different can come into awareness. Similarly if we ask ‘Is there anything else not about X’? Again something else may come into awareness.
All of this is intending to self-challenge the validity of our fixed ( and biased ) systems in which we navigate our world. Along with lots of topics on the day.
